POWER-BOAT RACE

CRUISE TO KAWAU The N.Z. Power Boat Association held a cruising race to Kawau on Saturday. Competitors were divided into classes of under and over nine knots. Both events started together off King’s Wharf at 2.30 p.m. The finishing times were: Over 9 knots.—My Girl, 4h 30m 18s; Tasman, 4h 34m 565; Romance 11., 4h 46m 465. Result: Romance 11., 1; My Girl, 2; Tasman, 3. The Lady Margaret also started, but did not arrive until after sundown, having met with a slight mishap. Under 9 knots.—Aumoe, 5h 33m 51s; Adelaide, 5h 41m 295; Marion D., 5h 46m 6s; Atatu, 5h 46m 20s; Manunui, 5h 50m -Is; Wanderoo, 5h 58m 3s; Edwina, 5h 58m 10s. Result: Edwina, 1; Manunui, 2: Aumoe, 3.
