THIRTY MILES AN HOUR WITH ALL SAILS SET
Whizzing over the glassy surface of a Wisconsin lake at a steady 30 miles an hour, an American ice yacht broke the world's record for this exciting form of sport last month. The distance was 20 miles and the time 39min 44sec, quite fast enough, if done by an Auckland motorist, to enable him to be “in the money” on the Papakura Town Board’s up-to-date speedway.
