The score at half-time was 27 to 3, in favour of the Australians. Towers secured the first try. Wallace followed up a punt by Gordon for the second. Ross converted both. A. Tancred plunged over after a forward rush. Then Wallace made an opening for Ford to score, and Ross converted. Ross kicked a goal from a free kick. Richardson ran 50 yards on the dribble to give University a try. Gordon then scored after a run with Towers. Wallace and J. Tancred went over on a pass from J. Ford. In the second half Mann finished a run by the threequarters with a try, which Duncan converted. Gordon crossed the line after a run from the middle of the field. Tancred then dribbled the ball across the line and Ross converted. Mann scored from a pass by Wallace and Breckenridge from one by Mann. Towers ran 25 yards to score. Gordon scored a try after a run by the three-quarters from behind their own line to the other end. Wallace secured the last try of the match. —A. and N.Z.
