COASTAL MOVEMENTS— The Katoa sailed from Wellington at five o’clock last evening for Auckland, and has reported stating that she expects to arrive in the stream at Auckland at seven o’clock to-morrow morning. She is to berth at Prince’s Wharf. The Kurow, en route from Southern ports to Auckland, sailed from Wellington at 11 o’clock last evening. She is due here late to-morrow night or early on Sunday morning. The Waipiata loads at Lyttelton tomorrow for Wellington and Auckland. The Kaiapoi has reported that she expects to arrive in the stream at Auckland at seven o’clock to-morrow morning from Southern ports. She will berth at Central Wharf. The Apanui was to leave Auckland at noon to-day for Houhora, Totara North, Kairaaumau and Parenga. The Clansman sails from Auckland at 5 p.m. to-day for Russell, Opua, Whangaroa and Mangonui, and is due back on Monday morning. The Matangi, sailing from here at 7 o’clock this evening for Tauranga, returns to Auckland on Sunday morning. The Waiuku leaves Auckland at 6.30 p.m. to-day for Surfdale, Ostend and Omiha, and returns here at 9.30 a.m. toThe Rangitoto arrives at Auckland at 5.30 o’clock this evening and sails at 1 p.m. on Monday on her return trip. The Taniwha, due here at midnight from Paeroa, sails on her return trip at 9 p.m. on Sunday. The Hauiti returns to Auckland at 9 p.m. to-day from Coromandel and leaves at noon on Monday for Coromandel and Colville. The Waipu is due at Auckland at 10.30 o’clock to-night from Kerepeehi and leaves on her return trip at noon bn Monday. The Omana returns to Auckland from Waiwera, Mahurangi and Warkworth at 8.30 p.m. to-day. The Claymore arrives here at 3.30 a.m. to-morrow from Whangarei and sails on Sunday at 7.30 p.m. on her return trip. The Awahou is due at Auckland on Sunday from the East Coast and sails next Tuesday afternoon on her return trip to Hicks Bay, Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne. The Mako is expected here about Wednesday next and should leave Auckland the same day for Tolaga Bay, Waikokopu, Napier and Wairoa.
The Westport Coal Company’s collier Canopus is to load at Westport on Monday for Auckland and should arrive here about Thursday or Friday next. The Union Company’s chartered steamer Waimea sailed from Gisborne at midnight last night for Napier, where she is due today. She should arrive back at Auckland next Monday.
