LYRIC
NEW PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT “The Thirteenth Hour,” which will be shown at the Lyric Theatre to-night, is primarily a mystery drama of the detective type, and the story derives a powerful interest through the association of a police dog with the solution it the baffling mystery which is the basis of the plot. Metro-Gold wynMayer have introduced an ex-German
role “Napoleon.” This four - footed actor is remarkably Intelligent, and bids fair to contribute an unprecedented interest to the mystery dramas of the screen—a type of picture which, by the way, is rapidly becoming increasingly popular. Jacqualine Gadsden and Charles Delaney, both wellknown supporting players, contribute an appealing love interest to “The Thirteenth Hour,” while Polly Moran of “The Callahans and the Murphys” fame provides plenty of exceedingly funny comedy in the role of a lady reporter with more than the usual amount of “nose for news.” “Bitter Apples,” starring Monte Blue and Myrna Boy, will also be shown tonight.
