SOCCER REFEREES

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Auckland Football Association Referees’ Association was held last evening at the Y.M.C.A. The following officers and officials were elected for the ensuing season: Patron, Mr. Ernest Davis; president, Mr. H. S. W. King; vicepresidents, Messrs. A. Menzies, L. C. H. Dawson, R. Bannister, L. Marks, —. Drury, W. J. Jordan, M.P., F. L. O’Conrieli. A. E. Caisley, T. K. Tugb* F. M. Ritchie, R. P. Harrison and F. R. Wilson; secretary, Mr. F. Wilson; assistant secretary, Mr. L. J. Check; treasurer, Mr. J. Ball; auditor, Mr. Connor; management committee, Messrs. J. J. Wright (chairman), A. E. Parkinson. L. J. Check, T. K. Tugby, T. N. McMillan and J. Campbell; representative on the Auckland Football Association Management Committee, Mr. J. Ball; delegate to New Zealand Referees’ Association, Mr. C. Kelly. Votes of thanks were passed to tlfce Press for valuable assistance to the code generally, and to the Y.M.C.A. for accommodation during the year. In connection with this, it was resolved to nominate the treasurer as a member of the Y.M.C.A., the year’s subscription to come out of the funds of the association. The secretary was instructed to forward letters of thanks to the secretary, treasurer and assistant-secretary of last year for services rendered to the ! association. The election of the Examination and Appointment Boards was deferred to a later date.
