MANGERE SPORTS GROUND

IMPROVEMENT COMPLETED The levelling: and top-dressing of the Mangere sports ground is now complete, and four inches of seived volcanic soil has been added to the formation work- The sowing of grassseed will be proceeded at an early date. It is anticipated that the ground will be available for play at the end of the forthcoming football season. * The old tennis courts have entirely disappeared, and the spoil from them has been used to fill in the depressions on the football field, and this area will be included in the grounds. When completed this sports area will be one of the best in the suburban districts, and is sure to be in good demand throughout the season.
