KAITIEKE COLLIE CLUB

OFFICERS ELECTED At the annual meeting of the Kaitieke Collie Club, Mr. J. F. Waldegrave presiding, one minute’s silence was observed as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mr. J. Morgan, a vice-president of the club, who recently lost his life in a tragic drowning accident in the Retaruke River. The balance sheet showed a credit of £SS 5s 6d, great credit being given to the retiring secretary, Mr. F. W. Beechey. for this achievement. Officers were elected as follow:—Patron, Mr. H. F. Gibbons; president, Mr. J. F. Waldegrave: vice-presidents. Messrs. X. Dempsey, sen., Morris, Pritchard, Rutherford, B. Gibbons, Vanstone, Crocker, Weller, Beechey, Rees, Reid, Lund, Hamilton, Grey, Edwards, Morgan, Grice, sen., Merriken, McCafferey Bros., and Karam; judge, Mr. M. J. McAvady, of Matiere; assistant judge, Mr. C. Crocker; joint secretaries, Messrs. Jas. Dempsey and R. Holder; ground marshal, Mr. B. Gibbons: assistant marshal, Mr. C. Edwards. A strong executive committee was appointed.
