HAURAKI PLAINS CRICKET
MATCHES AGAINST THAMES (From Our Own Correspondent) NGATEA, To-day. At a meeting of the Hauraki Plains Cricket Association at Ngatea on Wednesday evening, it was decided that the annual home and home matches with Thames be played at Kopuaralii and at Turua to-morrow. Mr. J. G. Miller was appointed umpire to the A match at Kopuarahi and Mr. Hedges, senr., will umpire the B match at Turua. The teams selected to represent Hauraki Plains are as follow: A Team. —A. J. McDonald, F. Woodbridge, R. D. Macklow, C. Stretton, Rus. Green, B. Nolan, A. McPherson, H. Owens, N. Boyne, R. Connors, T. McKay. Emergencies: H. Dare and Thompson. B Team. —H. Dare, Thompson, S. Phillips, T. Walsh, A. McMillan, W. O’Neil. R- Cornthwaite, A. Cranston, L. Berney, N. Hedges, L. Cardy. Emergencies: E. Gill and F. TX. Bell. INTER-CLUB FINAL It was decided that the final of the Inter-club competition between the Waitakaruru and the Turua teams be played to a finish. On March 10 an innings will be played at Turua and on the following Saturday the second inj nings will be played at Waitakaruru. Messrs. T. McKay, of Kopuarahi, and D. McAulay. of Pipiroa, were appointed to umpire. For the match against the Waihi 1 Associations team at Waihi it was decided to suggest March 24 or 31 as 'suitable dates.
