DUNLEAVY—McMAHON

At St. Columba’s Church, Frankton, on February 16, Miss Amva McMahon was married to Mr. John Dunleavy, formerly of Scotland. The Rev. Father O’Flynn officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by Mr. G. S. Frost, was gowned in white taffeta and silver tissue, fashioned on early Victorian lines, and finished with touches of orange blossom. A coronet of orange blossoms held the embroidered tull* veil, which fell to form a train. Miss Nanceye Frost, the bridesmaid, wore a frock of rose pink taffeta, finished with silver trimmings. Her crinoline hat toned with her frock. Mr. D. Tutchen acted as best man. A reception was held at the Frankton Bowling Club pavilion. ENGAGEMENTS The engagement is announced of Mavis Dorythia, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Snelgar, of Birkenhead, to Andrew Otto George, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thorburn. of Birkenhead.
