LUNA PARK
I I A PLACE OF PLEASURE Tlie usual high standard of enter- \ tainment provided by the management j of the Auckland Amusement Park will be maintained at the session this evening. The scenic railway car will speed as terriiicially as ever, the whip will leave its passengers breathless, panting with excitement. The Goofy House lives up to its intriguing name, and all will be in full swing. Amateur motorists will experience the unalloyed delight of running their vehicles into each other at full speed and without objection. The entertainment is so organised that the different attractions have a compensating effect on one another. For example, descending from the scenic railway, with ganglions aquiver, and nerves rattling, one can be soothed into quiet and peace by a trip along the old Mill stream past the quiet caves. Buses from the bottom of Queen Street leave from S o’clock onward. Ford Sterling, the ‘'Mr. Eisman” of the Paramount picture, “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” made his first appearance before the public as a clown with a circus. He left his home when a • youth in order to join the travelling show.
