POPULAR MILFORD
NUMEROUS VISITORS The new pavilion at Milford Par« is proving even more popular with the j passing of weeks. On Sunday even - j ings, when classical and sacred music : is played, it is no uncommon event to ! see several hundred visitors sitting! under the trees or on the beach, while \ on Saturday nights the capacity of the floor is taxed by the number of j dancers. A large panatrope, built specially for providing music for large crowds, is loaned by the Moore Piano Company, each week-end. Every Thursday evening the Takapuna Municipal Band is to play items ■ from its repertoire. Other attractions are being arranged for Easter, when it is hoped to have a number of poi dances and hakas by local Maoris. The performers in the prologue to “The Te Kooti Trail/’ when screening in Auckland, were all taken from among their number. A beach carnival has been suggested for the same time. /Rv Rnflrlai arranaement Reuter’® World
