Victorian Bowlers. —Five rinks of Victorian bowlers will play representatives of Hamilton clubs there tomorrow. Political Addresses.—Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P., will address his constituents at Dyer’s Hall, Panmure, to-night, and at the Methodist Hall, Greenwood’s Corner, to-morrow evening. Opium Charge.— Get Sang. Wah Quon, Ah Wing and Ah Sing wer»charged at the Police Court to-day with having opium in their possession. They were remanded for a week, bail being fixed at £25. Motor-Cyclist Injured.—A wellknown Maori footballer. Henry Paki, was thrown from his motor-cycle at Whangarei on Saturday afternoon and was admitted to the hospital with facial injuries. Tangi at Ngaruawahia. —A tangi is in progress at Ngaruawahia, over the remains of Pahi Pahi, a member of the Ngati-Mahuta tribe, and a relative of the Princess Te Puea Herangi. A number of Maoris have arrived from Rotorua for the occasion. Theft From Employe-. —For the theft of £9 19s 4d from his employers an assisted immigrant named James Park, aged 20 years, received two years' probation in the Hamilton Police Court to-day. Popular Sergeant. —Sergeant W. i Cooper, a popular member of the i Hamilton police force, who is departing to take charge of the Spit station ! at Napier, was farewelled last night, j and presented with two cases of Loewi \ Pipes. y
