A QUIET MORNING DEMAND FOR BANKS A quiet tone prevailed on 'Change Jiis morning. Banks continue to meet with a steady ic-mand. Commercials were steady md left the 'Change this morning with sellers at 27s 9d. supported by buyers \t 27s sd. New Zealands were firm—sellers 59s 3d, buyers 595. In coals, Waipas have weakened "olio wing a sale yesterday at 17s 6d. Miscellaneous shares are quiet, and register little movement. Donagliy’s Rope are firm with no sellers and buyers offering 335.
