EUCHUNGA FROM NEWCASTLE. The steamer Euchunga left Newcastle I yesterday for Auckland with a full cargo I of coal for the New Zealand Government ; Railways. CUMBERLAND INCLUDES LIVERPOOL.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Cumberland, which is expected to leave Port Chalmers this afternoon for London, will afterwards go | to Liverpool to complete discharge. MAHiA FROM LONDON.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahia was scheduled to leave London on Wednesday for Suva, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, New Plymouth and Nelson. She is due at Port Chalmers on April 4. KARETU FROM MELBOURNE.—The Union Company’s steamer Karetu was to leave Melbourne this morning for Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due here about Thursday next. THE HERTFORD. —The New Zealand Shipping Company reports that, the Hertford was to leave Timaru yesterday for Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on Tuesday, and will sail from there on March 3 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. WAIKAWA FROM PACIFIC COAST. —The Union Company reports that the Waikawa, from.* Pacific Coast ports, via Papeete, is due at Napier on Monday. She will later proceed to Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, Nelson and New Plymouth to complete discharge. MARAMA FROM SYDNEY. This afternoon the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Marama is to leave Sydney with passengers, mail and cargo for Auckland. She is due here on Tuesday morning, and leaves the following Friday on the return trip to Sydney. ROTORUA ARRIVING TO-MORROW. —With passengers, mails and cargo from London and Southampton, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua will arrive at Wellington to-morrow morning according to her radio report. The vessel is expected to arrive at Auckland about March 2 to complete discharge. PORT ADELAIDE LEAVES PANAMA. —Cabled news has been received that the C. and D. Line steamer Port Adelaide left Panama on Tuesday, bound for Wellington, Auckland and New Plymouth, from London. The vessel is due at Wellington about March 13 and at Auckland a week later. THE HUNTINGDON.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Huntingdon was to leave Timaru yesterday for Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due at Wellington next Wednesday, and will sail from Wellington on March 3 for Southampton, London and West Coast ports of Great Britain.
RUAPEHU REPORTS.—Wireless advice received from the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruapehu states that she will reach Wellington from London and Southampton next Wednesday morning. After landing passengers and mails for New Zealand the vessel will go to Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to unload her cargo of general merchandise. KARETU FROM MELBOURNE.-Tlie local office of the Union Company has received advice that the Karetu was .to leave Melbourne at daybreak to-day. The vessel has general cargo from Adelaide, Edithburg, Wallaroo and Melbourne for discharge at Auckland, Portland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is expected here about next Thursday. SUNDAY EXCURSIONS.—The Northern Steamship Company advise that owing to the steamer Omana being engaged on a private picnic, there will be no boat from Auckland for Manly or Arkle’s Bay on Sunday. The Rangitoto, which has been on other trips during the last two Sundays, will this Sunday resume her excursion trip to Kawau Island, leaving Auckland at 9.50 a.m. TAHITI FOR SAN FRAN CISCO.—The Royal Mail liner Tahiti left Sydney at five o’clock last evening for Wellington, to load cargo and mail and embark passengers from New Zealand. She is due at Wellington on Monday morning, and at three o’clock on Tuesday afternoon she is to resume her voyage to Rarotonga, Papeete, and San Francisco. PURPURA AT WELLINGTON.— An unexpecttd arrival at Wellington at fxve o’clock this morning was the AngloSaxon Petroleum Company’s tanker Purpura, with a cargo of bulk oil from Balikpapan (Singapore). The Purpura, which was formerly named the Hartlepool, was built at Stockton in 1904 by Messrs. Ropner and Son. She is registered at 4,409 tons gross. WESTMORELAND FROM LIVERPOOL.—An arrival at Auckland about Wednesday next will be the Federal steamer Westmoreland, with general cargo from West Coasts ports of the United Kingdom. She goes from here to Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. The New Zealand Shipping Company will act as the local agents. WEST NIVARIA NEXT WEEK. An expected arrival at Auckland on Friday next is the American-Australia-Orient Line steamer West Nivaria, with a cargo of lumber, case oil, and general merchandise from Pacific Coast ports of America. After putting out the local portion of her cargo, the vessel will proceed to Wellington and Lyttelton to complete. Henderson and Macfarlane are the local agents. MATAROA IN PORT.—An arrival at Auckland shortly after noon to-day was the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer, Mataroa. from London and Southampton, via Wellington. She berthed at Prince’s Wharf to complete the discharge of her general cargo, and on March 3 is to be dispatched for Pic ton, Wellington and Lyttelton to load for England. She is to sail finally from Wellington on March 17 for Southampton and London, via Panama. MIDDLESEX’S ALTERED ITINERARY. —The New Zealand Shipping Co. advises ftliat the Federal steamer Middlesex will not leave New Plymouth until Monday for Picton, Wanganui roadstead, and Wellington. The vessel is expected at Wellington on March 2, and will sail from there on March 7 for Napier and Auckland, to complete loading for New York, Halifax, London, Avonmouth. Glasgow and Liverpool. She is due here on March 11.
WEST COAST TO NEW ZEALAND.— rhe Federal Company reports that the ollowing vessels have been fixed to bring general cargo from West Coast of Great Britain to New Zealand ports:—Tonga•iro, to leave Liverpool on March 3 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru md Dunedin; Turakina, to leave Liver--5001 on March 17 for Auckland, Welling:on, Lyttelton and Dunedin; Norfolk, to eave Liverpool on April 14 for Auckand, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. They will be followed by the Cumberland on April 28 for New Zeaand ports not yet announced; the Northumberland, on May 12; the Hertford, on lune 9; Cambridge, on July 7; Westmoreand, on August 4; the Somerset, on August 18. The New Zealand Shipping Company will act as the local agents. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE.— rhe local office of the Union Company idvises that the following are the move■nents of their trans-Pacific cargo vessels *.— The Waitemata, which sailed from San Pedro on February 14, with cargo for Apia, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne md Sydney, is due at Apia on March 2 ind at Auckland on March 11. The Waihemo is due at Vancouver from Auckland to-day. She is to load at Paciiic Coast ports for Auckland, "Wellington, New Plymouth, Melbourne and SydThe Wairuna is to leave Suva for Vancouver to-day. She is to load at Pacific Coast ports during March for Auckland. Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. The Waiotapu was to leave Sydney for Newcastle yesterday en route to Vancouver, via Fiji and Fanning Island. She is to load at Pacific Coast ports, including San Pedro, early in April for Papeete, .Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Hauraki was due at Wellington this morning to continue unloading -argo from Pacific Coast ports. From Wellington she will go to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide to complete discharge. Subsequently the vessel will return to Pacific Coast ports to load during May for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.
KANNA REPORTS.—According to .4 wireless report received by the local office of the Union Company from the master of the steamer Hanna, the vessel is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at nine o’clock to-morrow morning with a full cargo of guano from Surprise and Walpole Islands. She will discharge at King’s Wharf. MAHANA LEAVES NEWCASTLE.— The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Mahan a is - ... lefl is due there on Wednesday next for loading. and goes from there to Napier and Wellington. She is scheduled t•> leave Wellington on Aiareh 17 for London via Panama. HUGE CHRISTMAS MAlL.—Christmas brings big mails from overseas, and one of the largest ever carried across the Atlantic in one ship was taken in the White Star liner Majestic when she sailed from New York just before Christmas. Including those loaded at Cherbourg—a small proportion of the whole —she had in her strong-rooms 17,000 sacks of letters and parcels. The vessel also carried a large number of passengers. The Anchor Company’s steamer Kaitoa is now leaving Onehunga at 4 o'clock this afternoon for Nelson and West Coast ports. The Hauturu, which arrived at Onehunga this morning from Waikato Heads, Kawhia and Raglan, sails at 3 o’clock this afternoon for Hokianga. The Ngapuhi is due at Onehunga at 7.30 a.m. to-morrow from New Plymouth, and sails at 4 p.m. on Monday on her return trip to the Taranaki port. The Arapawa has proceeded to Westport from Wanganui for loading, and is now due back at Onehunga on Tuesday evening. The Isabella de Fraine leaves Onehunga this afternoon for Hokianga, and should return there about Sunday.
