BENNETT GUILTY
LOITERED FOR BETS FINE OF £25 IMFOSED Robert Francis Bennett. who appeared at the Police Court last Friday to answer two charges of loitering in Wairoa Road, Devonport, for the purposes of betting, was convicted in the reserved decision given by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., to-day. The magistrate said that accused had not satisfactorily answered the charges, and his evidence ha# not been given with candour. On one charge he was fined £25. The 1 second one was dismissed.
