ZIMMERMAN MAKES CENTURY Press Association. O AMARU, Thursday. The Australia v. North Otago cricket match was resumed to-day. Yesterday the home team had managed 118 runs and the visitors 294 for four wickets. The Australians forced the pace and took their total to 44S before they were dismissed. Kippax hit out. and 300 was soon shown on th e board. He played a sterling innings for 76. His partner, Oxenham, continued to score freely and compiled 169 before being caught and bowled by Inder. Kippax and Oxenliam were the two chief scorers and both played a very breezy innings. Sumpter and Uttley opened the innings for North Otago and after a bright display, went near to knocking up a century between them. Carrington and Hargreaves did not last long. Zimmerman, formerly a master of Waitaki Boys’ High School, then went in to make a great showing, and compiled 117 runs (not out). The only other scorers to hit double figures were McDonald 20, and Robertson 22. Stumps were drawn with the score at 265.
