WANGANUI WOOL SALE FIRM TONE THROUGHOUT Press Association. WANGANUI, Thursday. The third Wanganui wool sale this evening resulted in the maintenance of the Auckland prices, which in some cases were exceeded. Bidding from the commencement was animated and exceptionally keen for any parcels of good style wool. The firm tone held right to the last of the catalogue, and if a heavier offering had been submitted there was buying power on the benches to lift any reasonable weight. Germany was well in the market, as a great portion of the catalogue containd wools eminently suitable for her trade. Bradford buyers made their presence felt, and lifted a heavy weight. For a few lots of super wools the American buyers commenced very keenly and secured the bulk. The French buyers were interested in lambs and best quality pieces, and paid high rates, as is usual at the February sale. A good quantity of inferior and medium pieces, bellies and crutchings was submitted. and brought prices on a. par with late sales, although at times a slight easing was noticeable. Many parcels were heavily seeded and generally rough. Very few lots were passed. Range of Prices
