INSURANCE FIRM MINING DEPRESSED Although the market is quiet, a good demand still exists for most gilt-edged investments. In the insurance section, New Zealands stand with buyers 40s 6d, no sellers quoting. South British are also firm, sales being recorded at 58s, leaving the market with buyers 57s 6d, sellers 58s 3d. Standards have steady buyers at 635, no shares offering. Coal shares remain steady. Pukemiro RtWJ maintain good figures, buyers quoting 63s 6d, with shares offering at Mining is weak, Waihi being the only scrip changing hands.
