“OUT ALL NIGHT”
REG DENNY COMING TO PRINCESS AND TIVOLI
I Ben Hendricks, jun., who plays the role of ‘ buddy” to Reginald Denny in the star’s latest Universal super comedy, “Out All Night,” which will be shown at the Princess and Tivoli Theatres on Thursday, should be perfectly natural in the part as he is Denny’s closest pal in real life. The two met for the first time in New York City quite a few years ago. Both of them were broke and both of them were out of work. In their mutual misery they turned to each other and have been fast friends ever since. Hendricks was the first to find a job—with a musical comedy touring New York State—and he prevailed upon the producer to hire Denny also. Denny was the first to try the movies, but Hendricks was not long in following him t<* Hollywood. wher*Denny made up for past favours and has arranged to have Ben in practically every picture he lias made. "Out All Night*’ is a screen version of Gladys Lehman s humorous story.
■ m Be There.” and Reginald Denny is said to be thefastest moving and most entertaining comedy in which Denny has ever appeared. The adaptation was made by
Marcel Perez and John Diltz. William A.. Seiter, who directed the ! majority of Denny's outstanding pro- ; ductions, again handled the mega- ‘ phone for this opus. The supporting r-ast is headed by Marian Nixon, who j plays the leading feminine role, while others in the cast include Dorothy ' Karl 4 '. Wheeler Oakman. Bob Seiter, Dan Mason and Lionel Braham.
John Gilbert plays the exceedingly eventful rule of Prince Danilo in "The Merry Widow,” Metro-Gold wynMayer's reproduction of the famous music*.! comedy drama. This picture should be one of the really big events of the year and preparations aie being made for its early release.
