WEEK-END EXCURSION

WELLINGTON-AUCKLAND THREE-DAY TRIP The Railway Department has arranged a special week-end excursion from Wellington to Auckland on March 2. Although the fares and hours of travel have not yet been announced, it is reported from the department that the train will leave Wellington on Friday evening, March 2, and will arrive in Auckland on Saturday morning. Special hotel accommodation has been arranged, while sight-seeing trips round the city and suburbs, a visit to Titirangi, and excursions to Rangitoto and Milford will give the visitors a number of alternative trips and make a busy day. The train will leave Auckland on Sunday for the Waitomo Caves, and will arrive back at Wellington on Monday morning.
