“CAVE GIRLS”
A Motorist Surprised MOKAU INCIDENT The folk who declaim about Coney Island costumes on the beaches and bobbed liair in churches would have appreciated the experience of an Aucklander motoring yesterday from New Plymouth. On the northern side of Mokau he was sliding down hill when his attention was caught by the movements of five women motorists who were camped near the roadside, in the valley below.
They apparently did not suspect the presence of a mere man. Carelessness would scarcely have described their conduct, nor ‘'undress” their state of covering.
As the car was coasting the noise did not alarm them until it was close up. A wild stampede for shelter resulted in one agitated girl violently colliding with another emerging from the tent. Still another, in her haste to disappear behind the motor-car tent, tripped over a tent peg. The motorist gracefully hid kis gaze behind his hat as he passed.
