The single scull trials for Mrs. Geo. Dowling’s gold medal were completed during the week, with the following results: — _ _ „ Second Round.—G. Dowling beat A. C. Norden by three-quarters of a length. Semi-linals. —F. Conway won from \\ . V Bright by two lengths; G. Dowling won from R. C. Macey by half a length. Final.—G. Dowling v. F. Conway: This was a good race from start to finish, Conway winning by a quarter of a length. Pair-oar trials for Mr. H. Schmidt's trophies are being rowed this week.
