COLEMAN WINS BIG RACE Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday. Favoured with beautiful weather conditions, the motor-cycle sports staged at New Plymouth yesterday attracted a large attendance. The racing was keen and good finishes were witnessed. A feature of the day’s sport was the winning of the big event, the New Plymouth Handicap, from scratch by P. Coleman. Following are the results: New Plymouth Handicap, 8 laps.— P. Coleman (Wanganui), scr., 1; R. Ranby (Te Aroha), 355, 2: H. V. McCready (New Plymouth), 20s, 3. Time, 7m 29 3-ss. President’s Handicap, 6 laps. —J. R. Arnott (Hawke’s Bay), 30s. 1; P. Coleman, scr., 2: W. H.. Herbert, 255, 3. Time, 5m 53 2-ss. Class B Handicap, 6 laps. —R. Vickers (Midhurst), 40s, 1; A. Harper (Hastings), 2; H. Tolley (Palmerston), 30s, 3. Time, 6m 7 4-ss. Weston Handicap, 6 laps.— R. G. Harford (Feilding), 455, 1; W. H. Herbert, 27*s, 2; P. Coleman, scr., 3. Time, 5m 56 3-ss.
