Recriminations marked to-day’s session of the Naval Committee of the House of Representatives when arguments for and against the proposed building programme were continued. Mrs. W. S. Walker, vice-president of the General Daughters of the American revolution, demanded the removal of Dr. W. I. Hull from the history professorship of the Swarthmore College, on account of his refusal to tell the committee whether he thought the American colonies were justified iu their revolt from England. Dr. Hull formerly refused to answer before the committee, but said that many believe that conditions would have been better without the revolution. —A. and N.Z. i
