BIG BILL FARNUM
RETURN TO THE SCREEN
William Farnum, formerly one of the picturesque and colourful figures in motion pictures, who deserted the screen at the height of his popularity four years ago, has been persuaded to return from his self-imposed retirement.
He has been signed by ' Winfield Shehan, vice-president of Fox Film Corporation, to appear in a forthcoming Fox feature, “Hangman’s House,” by Donn Byrne. Farnum will play the role of “The Citisen,” an outstanding character of Byrne’s great story. The production will be directed by John Ford, with June Collyer as the feminine lead, Charles Morton as the boy, and Earle Foxe in the heavy role.
