Tom Mix’s famous mount, Tony, is surely one of the most remarkable animal actors on the screen to-day. In “Silver Valley,” the latest Mix film, from the Fox Studios, Tony is weii featured. Tony has been Tom Mix* pet horse for as many years as mor. of us can remember. He is one of a group of thoroughbreds which Toir. keeps in his prize stables at the Mix Rancho, that combination traitin? school and home where the Mix family hangs its hat. Ten years ago Tony was just an awkward, gangly colt looking much like a half dozen other colts on the ranch.
