POLICE RETIREMENT

SERGT. J. C. GRIFFITHS After 17 years in charge of the Northern Wairoa Police District, Sergt. J. C. Griffiths has very reluctantly, owing to ill health, handed in his resignation, which will take effect from April 30 next. It is Sergt. Griffiths’s intention to take up residence in Auckland for a time, after which he will probably return to Dargaville to permanently reside. The retiring officer will carry with him the best wishes of all sections of the community for a speedy recovery from his recent operation, and the hope that he will long enjoy the benefit of his well earned superannuation.
