‘Oui, Oui, Mademoiselle' Say French Doctors Fears that French girls, through their enthusiasm for sport, are too far in the emulation of their brothers, with consequent injury to their’liealth. are being increasingly expressed by French medical authorities As a result of exhaustive medical investigations, the committee of the Federation Feminine Sportive de France has approved a report recommending that, in future, all applications from girls to join a sports association shall be accompanld by full physiological particulars given by a doctor The committee also supported a recommendation that no girl shall be allowed to enter a sports competition without a medical certificate. These recommendations have been described as bringing about a revolution in the world of feminine sport. They are to be presented to the full council of the federation at the end of this month.
