MEN AND A CHEQUE
FRAUD ALLEGED ACCUSED DENY GUILT Charged with obtaining goods and money amounting to £25 by means of a valueless cheque, George Harrison, aged 46, and Daniel Hebley. aged 32. pleaded not guilty at the Police Court yesterday afternoon and were committed to the Supreme Court for trial. William XX'earn, a storekeeper, said that accused had both come to his shop and ordered stores valued at £2. In payment they tendered a cheque for £25. Witness gave them a cheque of his own for £2O as o|inge. A bank teller said tuat Hebley had cashed XVearn’s cheque for £ 20.
