GETTING TOGETHER
BUSINESS MEN UNITE SYMONDS STREET ASSOCIATION More than 50 businessmen of Symonds Street banded themselves into an association last night and decided to hold fortnightly luncheon meetings. The meeting was held in the Scots Hall, Mr. J. Ansill presiding. Schemes' for the improvement of business methods were drawn up and the committee was instructed to report with data for a publicity campaign. The election of officers resulted: Patron. Mr. G. Foster: president, Mr. J. Ansill; secretary. Mr. L. G. Crawshaw; treasurer, Mr. C. T. Manning, A. full committee was appointed with power to act on proposals authorised by the association.
