TAMERLANE HAS ARRIVED

A S the races for unhoppled horses are usually won by representatives of the puregaited fraternity, the public will no doubt look for the winner among this section to-morrow when the Mount Albert Handicap comes up for decision. There are several solid trotters engaged and one that has put in a late appearance at Epsom is Tamerlane, who to-day trotted several circuits in faultless style. The son of Petereta —Miss Hugo, despite a suspicion of lameness, which he generally carries, won in splendid style at the Addington August fixture, cutting out 12 furlongs in 3.28 4-5. From a 4.43 mark Tamerlane will make things interesting in the unhoppled heat to-morrow.
