PERSONAL. —Captain A. T. Totcn, late master of the Oonab,, has relieved Captain A. H. Davey as master of the Maunganui. Captain Davey left Auckland last evening for Wellington for orders. Mr. R. Greenslade, second officer of the Claymore, has relieved Mr. * JacksonFowler of the Apanui. Mr. Paine has joined the Claymore as second officer. PORT CAROLINE FOR HOME. At present finishing her loading at Wanganui, the C. and D. Line advises that the steamer Port Caroline should leave there to-morrow afternoon for London, via Panama. KAIWARRA PAYS OFF. —The local office of the Union Company advises that the collier Kaiwarra, which left Newcastle last Wednesday for Auckland, on arrival here pays off owing to the slackness in the coal trade. NORTHUMBERLAND DEPARTS. A departure from Napier last evening was the Federal steamer Northumberland, loaded with New Zealand produce for discharge at London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool. CUMBERLAND TO COMPLETE. The New Zealand Shipping" Company advises that the Federal steamer Cumberland leaves Wellington to-morrow for Port Chalmers, where she will complete her loading, and finally sail on February 22 for London, via Panama. MAMILIUS COMPLETING. —The Shaw, Savill* and Albion Company advises that the steamer Mamilus, now completing her loading at Port Chalmers, finally clears there next Tuesday for London, via Panama. . . CITY OF BATH DEPARTS.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer City of Bath sailed from Dunedin yesterday afternoon for Launceston and Melbourne to complete her discharge of New' York cargo. PORT MELBOURNE AT WELLINGTON.—The C. and D. Line advises that the steamer Port Melbourne, which arrived at Wellington yesterday from New Plymouth, leaves there to-morrow for Lvttelton, where she completes her loading, and finally departs on February 23 for London, via Panama. HAURAKI RADIOS.—The local office of the Union Company have been advised by radio that the motor-shin Hatvraki, en route from Pacific Coast ports, is expected to arrive at Auckland on Sunday afternoon. After discharge here the vessel proceeds to Wellington, thence Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney to complete; TOFUA LEAVES SUVA. Cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the Island passenger steamer Tofua sailed from Suva at 5 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she should arrive about mid-day next Monday. The vessel is to leave Auckland again on February 25 for Sava, Tonga and Apial Samoa. PORT HUNTER REPORTS. —According to a radio message received by the agents, Heather, Roberton and Company, the C. and D. Line's steamer Port Hunter is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at noon on Sunday from Liverpool. After discharge of her local portion of her ca.rgo, the Port Hunter proceeds to Wellington, thence Lyttelton and Dunedin, to complete. PORT BOWEN ON SUNDAY. Although no radio has been received by Heather, Roberton and Company, the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Bov/en is expected to reach Auckland on Siinday from Port Kembla. After lifting a portion of her craigo here, the vessel will then proceed to Opua, thence Gisborne. Napier, Wellington, New Plymouth, and back tc Auckland to complete loading. She is tc return to Auckland on March 2, and scheduled to sail finally from this port or March 6 for London. Avonmouth, Glas- , gow and Liverpool, via Panama,
WAITEMATA LEAVES LOS ANGELES. —Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the Waiternata, with Pacific Coast cargo, cleared Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon for Apia. Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. CARGO FROM ST. JOHN.—The Xew Zealand Shipping Company have been advised by cablegram that the Queen Eleanor is fixed to sail from St. John (X. 8.) on March . 28, with general cargo to discharge at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. HINEMOA ARRIVING.—A farther radio message received by Spedding. Limited, states that the Government steamer Hinemoa will arrive in the stream at Auckland at 3.30 o'clock this afternoon from Niue Island. After pratique has been granted the vessel will berth at the King's Wharf. To-morrow the vessel is to dock for cleaning and painting, and next Thursday she leaves Auckland again for Norfolk Island.
