SPLENDID BREAK OF 452 The well-known New Zealand billiards champion, Clark McConachy, was in great form when he played a match against the Auckland player, C. Collins, who was conceded a start of 450 in 750. McConachy made only four visits to the table after breaking the balls. The first visit resulted in a break of 168, the second yielded 44, the third 120 and the foruth 452. This was a line break. The play was at the top of the table, consisting of nursery cannons and winning hazards with the red. McConachy’s opponent had not many chances, 19 being his best effort.
