A CLASSICAL EVENING GOWN
The new* formal note in evening gowns is strikingly exemplified in a gown worn at a recent dance in town. It is of white satin cut on classical lines. deriving its inspiration from ancient Greece. It is embroidered w*ith a design of laurel leaves in crystal and diamonds. The length of the hem is irregular, being very long at the back. White satin sandals and nude hose are worn with it, and the wearer completes the outfit with a long diamond necklace. diamond ear rings and two diamond bracelets. TAFFETAS FOR A DANCE FROCK A pretty fair-haired girl in town uses sea-green taffeta in a picturesque evening gown to set off her blonde colouring. The long-waisted body finishes in a ruffled flare which foreshadows the one-sided effect that Paris sponsors for next season’s frocks. A jaunty bow slightly below normal waistline finishes the flare at the left of the frock.
