“ROMANCE” TO-MORROW “The Road to Romance,” starring Ramon Novarro, will be shown at the Grand Theatre to-morrow. In the role of Captain Jose Armando, secretly commanded by the King of Spain to sail to Reigo Island and investigate the position there, Ramon Novarro has a romantic role, worthy to succeed that in which he electrified the world with in “Ben Hur.” As the Governor of Reigo, Roy B’Arcy gives a finished, realistic portrayal. Marceline Bay has th© role of Serafina, opposite Ramon Novarro, and makes a very delectable and natural heroine. Others appearing in the cast are Marc McDermott, Cesare Gravina, Bobby Mack, Otto Matieson and Jules Cowles. John S. Robertson directed this Metro-Gcldwyn-Mayer picture, which is based on the famous story, “Romance,” by Joseph Conrad and Ford Maddox Hueffer. “China Bound,” an adaptation of a Ben Ames William sea story, will be Ramon Novarro’s next starring picture. Ernest Torrence, at present appearing with John Gilbert in “The Cossacks,” will appear as Novarro’s half-brother.
