AUSTRALIAN’S SUCCESS Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. At English Park this evening the Australian cyclist Gray, won the sprint match race, half a mile, paced, against A. W r . Day, in 63 2-os. He was second i nhis heat of the half-mile handicap from scratch and was unplaced in the final. In the second sprint match race against Day, a quarter of a mile, unpaced, Gray won in 255. Gray won the two miles scratch invitation race from Day in 4m 21 l-ss. Stande (New South Wales) was unable to ride, as a result of a fall on the previous day.
