MARKET IN GOOD TONE INDUSTRIALS QUIET \ healthy tone is registered on •« iiange for most of the better classes of securities, and satisfactory business is recorded. In the banking: section listed sellers are well in the minority. Buyers of Commercials are firm at 27s 6d and sellers withdrawn. New Zealands are slightly easier, and sales at 58s 6d at the mid-day call, found more offering at that figure and buyers easier at 58s. Insurances are in good tone, all parrels attracting steady buyers. Sellers of Nationals came in at the early call it 16s, but withdrew at mid-day leaving buyers at 15s 3d. The shipping section found Huddarts slightly easier at the early call, and sellers at 5s were supported by buyers at 50s. The market strengthened at mid-day, however, when sellers asked 52s and buyers improved to 50s 6d. Timbers continue to register a blrghter tone and parcels of Kauris and Bey land-O'Brien were sought at midday. Miscellaneous shares are quiet, though the market is slightly brighter with interest more widespread. Wilsons were done at 38s.
