WAKATERE CANOE CLUB
ANOTHER REGATTA PLANNED As a result of the enthusiastic reception accorded the Wakatere Canoe Club’s first regatta, held last Saturday, it has been decided to hold another event of a similar kind on Saturday, February 25, at Narrow Neck Beach The unfinished portion of the last regatta will be decided, and in addition several new events will take place. In all, six events are on the programme. Two races will be included for outboard motor-boats, which are open to all competitors, and it .is hoped to run a championship and a handicap race for this class. The one and ahalf mile canoe paddling race is to be decided, and other events arranged are dinghy sailing race, canoe sailing race, and canoe paddling race for ladies.
