ANNUAL HARBOUR RACE
PONSONBY CARNIVAL Everything is in train for the annual harbour race and swimming carnival to be held at the Shelly Beach Baths on Saturday by the Ponsonby Swimming Club. • The harbour race has drawn a large number of coritestants, and the distance of one and a-half miles as compared with the usual three-quarters of a mile will provide added interest to the race. The course used to be from the Northcote Wharf to the baths, but this time the race will start and finish at the baths, the course being set inside the boat harbour. An attractive programme of sports has also been arranged, and sprint and distance events will be the order of the day.
