FRANKTON FAVOURABLE v - REFERENDUM TAKEN By a majority vote Frankton parents are in favour of introducing the “Nelson” system of Bible reading into the school. -The Frankton School Committee advised the Auckland Education Board to-day that a referendum of parents had been taken, with the following result: In favour, 129; against, 53; informal, 6; not returned. 49; total. 237. The committee asked whether it was in order to give effect to the vote. ‘ Whatever is done must be voluntary,’ said the chairman of the board. Mr. A. Burns. The board could take no action.
