CHARGES OF BRIBERY IN COLLIERY A PRIVATE DISPUTE By Cable.—Frees Association. — Copyright. SYDNEY, Tuesday. The Government does not Intend to appoint a Royal Commission to inquire into the charges of bribery made by Mr. Hoare, president of the northern branch of the Miners’ Federation, in connection with keeping open the Stockton Borehole Collieries. It regards the matter as a domestic quarrel between the miners and the owners, which should be left to the parties concerned to settle. The Government has decide A to take steps to bring about a conference between the mineowners and miners with a view to improving the parlous condition of the coal trade.—A. and N.Z.
