TRAFFIC OFFENDERS
MANY FINED TO-DAY’S COURT LIST Auckland motorists, offenders against city traffic by-laws, were prosecuted at the Police Court to-day before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., and Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M. The following were the penalties imposed:— POLICE PROSECUTIONS For negligent driving, John Deighton, John Mackay and Frank Elliott were each fined £2. Harold A. Chambers was fined £l. For speeding, John E. King was fined £l. For failing to obey a traffic signal, Edward Moore was fined £l. For pillion riding Arthur J. Courtney, Robert Darby, Mathew Darby, Alfred A. Davidson, Wallace Davidson and Hughie Dearsley were each fined 10s. For having no tail lights on their cars, William E. Bridge, Harold V. Crowle, Cecil D. Johnson, Ernest R. Leng, James Ockleston, Thomas W. Potts, Cyril Schrafft and William Young were each fined 10s. CITY PROSECUTIONS For turning to the right in prohibited hours, Roy Jameson, Herbert Morris. Kenneth Wilson, William Norman Snow, Henry Laten Jessop, Raymond Watson, Alfred Turner and Victor Talen were each fined £l. For pillion-riding, Frederick Harris was fined 10s. For leaving cars unattended, Charles Hodges, Cora Jessie Kirby and Francis E. Bate were each fined 10s. For passing cars on Grafton Bridge. Cedric Ray Vincent was fined £l, and Alfred Turner 10s. For dangerous driving, Alland Frederick McGruer was fined 30s. For failing to obey a traffic officer. William McColl, Robert Allen and Victor A. Coyle were each fined £l.
