SHIPPING CELEBRITY

THE LATE MR. T. E. SINEL Flags were flying half-mast on shipping company buildings yesterday in respect of the memory of the late Mr. T. E. Sinel, who died at his home, 5 Peel Street, yesterday. Mr. Sinel was born at St. Helens, Jersey, Channel Islands, 70 years ago, and for the past 45 years has been well known to the business and shipping community, being a prominent figure on the Auckland waterfront, where he was wharf representative of the various overseas shipping companies. Mr. Sinel is survived by his wife, eight sons and one daughter. The funeral will leave Mr. Sinel’s late residence for the Waikumete Cemetery at 2 p.m. to-day
