SCHOOLGIRL’S RECORD

EIGHT YEARS WITHOUT BREAK XMGHT years’ school without " missing one day! That is the record of Lorna O’Hara, of Ardmore School, Papakura, who will soon receive a letter of congratulation from the Auckland Education Board. One of her sisters is said to have had a similar record, while the remaining child of the family was absent only a few days in 12 years’ primary and secondary school education, “chiefly owing to music examinations!”

“They must have had a fine mother and great health,” said the chairman of the Education Board, Mr. A. Burns.
