\ir T. M. Wilford, M.P., of Wellington accompanied by Mrs. Wilford, arrived in Auckland this morning. They !u-e to sail for America and England on the Aorangi to-day. The Hon. Geo. Fowlds journeyed South last evening. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. •p. J. Rolleston. accompanied by his secretary, Mr. G. F. Dixon, left on the Limited last evening for the South. Mr. G. W. Forbes, leader of the Rationalist Party in the House of Representatives, has returned to Wellington after a short tour of the Northern districts as sponsor of the new political party. Professor A. P. W. Thomas has gone South for a few days. Mr. F. J. Nathan, Mayor of Palmerston North, arrived from the South this morning. Dr. M. McNamara, of Brisbane, who has retired from his profession, arrived by the Maunganui to-day. Mr. J. C. Hanna, formerly of Auckland and now' of London, is at the Northern Club. Mr. T. Healey, of Western Australia, arrived in Auckland this morning by the Maunganui on a visit to the Dominion. Mr. and Mrs. Page Rowe, of Remuera, propose leaving for England early in the New Year, where they intend to again reside. The Rev Father Bolger, of Melbourne, arrived in Auckland this morning by the Maunganui. He is on a holiday visit to the Dominion. Mr. J. R. Savory, of San Francisco, ■who has been visiting relatives in the Dominion, left by the Aorangi for Vancouver this afternoon. Mr. H. G. Thomson, vice-president of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association, returned from Sydney to-day after seeing the Frenchmen play. The Hon. O. F. Nelson, together with hid three daughters, returned to Auckland from Wellington this morning. Ho •will be staying in this city for some time. > Mr. T. B. Clay, a member of the Auckland Harbour Board, and Mrs. Clay, who have been holidaying in New South Wales, returned by the Maunganui this morning. Mr. Sam McCulloch, of Melbourne, arrived in New Zealand for th e fifth time to-day. A keen fisherman, he will go to the Bay of Islands for the big game and later to Taupo for trout. Mr. H. L. Tapley, M.P., ex-Mayor of Dunedin, left Auckland by the Aorangi to-day on a trip to Canada, the United States and England. He will return to New Zealand in time for the opening of Parliament. Mr. James Miller, contractor, of Kirkintillock, Scotland, and an authority on drainage systems and reservoirs, arrived by the Maunganui to-day on a holiday visit to New Zealand. His son is a professor of civil engineering at Sydney University. Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P. for Hutt, and Mrs. Wilford, who are going to England via Canada, arrived in Auckland this morning and leave by the Aorangi for Vancouver this afternoon. They will meet their son and daughter in London. The Revs. George Bond, W. A. Sinclair, J. Olphert, W. T. Blight, E. P. Blamires, W. E. Leadley, H. Ryan, A. Ashcroft, and E. Drake left Auckland last evening to attend the Methodist Conference to be held at Christchurch.
