SPEARY—GOERTZ
Blue hydrangeas and white phlox decorated St. Ma rk’s Church, Remuera, this morning when Edna Aline Spearv, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Speary, of Auckland, became the bride, of FBrederick L. Goertz, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Goetrz, of Hastings. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Cruickshank. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty gown of ivory georgette with deep transparent hem of finest silver lace. A deep yoke effect of silver lace was inset at the back and in front of the bodice. A swathed sash finished the frock at the waist. A narrow filet of orange blossom caught the long veil of Honiton lace, which had been loaned by a friend of the bride. Silver shoes and oyster-coloured stockings completed the charming ensemble. The bride’s shower bouquet was of white and pal - est pink carnations. Miss Hinemoa Speai*y, the bridesmaid, looked very pretty in a powder blue georgette frock with hern and yoke of silver lace. A band of silver tissue finished with blue flowers was worn round the hair. Miss Speary carried a shower bouquet of blue delphinium and pale pink carnations. Mr. W. Clark acted as best man. After the wedding a reception was held in the Domain Tea Kiosk, where the guests were received by the bride’s mother*, who wore a black crepe de chine gown relieved with ecru lace. Her close-fitting black hat was trimmed with white osprey and she carried a bouquet of tiger lilies.
