“TIP TOES”
AT HIS MAJESTY’S TO-MORROW To-morrow night at His Majesty’s Theatre the J. C. Williamson, Ltd., New Musical Comedy Company will make their first appearance here in the latest musical comedy triumph “Tip Toes,” which is regarded by many as the finest play of its kind that has been, staged in Australia during recent years. Interest is very keen to witness the three famous dancers from the Folies Geregere, Paris, Josephine Head, Albert Hugo and Mile. Ramona, who scored a sensational success in Australia. “Tip Toes” is packed with excellent musical numbers, among which, perhaps, the following are the most popular: “A Nice Baby” (Roy Russell, Beryl Wakeley and the chorus), “When Do We Dance” (Leyland Hodgson, Josephine Head and Mile. Ramona), “These Charming People” (Thelma Burness, Cecil Ivellaway and Barrett-Lennard), “Pig in a Poke” (Leyland Hodgson, Thelma Burness and the chorus), “That Certain Feeling” (Thelma Burness and Leyland Hodgson), “Sweet and Low Down” (Barrett-Lennard, Josephine Head, Mile. Ramona and chorus), “Our Little Captain” (Thelma Burness and the chorus gents), “Looking for a Boy” (Thelma Burness and Leyland Hodgson), “It’s a Great Little World” (Bar-rett-Lennard and chorus), “Nightie Night” (Thelma Burness and Leyland Hodgson), “The Rich Man and the RodMan” Cecil Kellaway and Barrett-Len-nard). Features of the opera are the brilliant work of the chorus and ballet and the full operatic orchestra, under the direction of Cyril Connolly. The dresses cost many thousands to create and the scenery is said to he gorgeous in the extreme. Only a limited number of performances can be staged of “Tip Toes,” and during the season of 10 nights “Queen High” will also be staged. The box plans are now open at Lewis R. Eady’s.
