The Paris correspondent of “The Times” says that the Senate, discussing the proposed law to organise the country in war-time, has referred back to the committee concerned the article providing for the conscription of women. Several senators contend that conscription is unnecessary, in view of the women’s readiness to volunteer their services during the Great War. —Times.
