MILES DISQUALIFIED
WORLD’S SPRINT TITLE MISTAKE IN ENTRY FORM By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, Sunday. For allegedly setting out incorrect performances in his entry, the runner, T. Miles, who defeated Banner fn the 75yds and 220yds events for the world’s sprinting title, was disqualified by the Protest Committee from further competing in the forthcoming £I,OOO handicap race. Miles explained that his performances were compiled by a friend acting for him. He made a mistake, but had no intention to deceive the committee. It was decided to permit Banner to compete in the forthcoming 100yds and lJTOyds world’s championship events. — A. and N.Z.
